Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Final Speech: I've Been To The Mountaintop

An exact day like today, 50 years ago, on April 3, 1968, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. flew to Memphis, Tennessee and has spoken one of his famous speeches that any human being has ever made in history, "I've been to the Mountaintop". This was his last speech, because the next day, he was shot and killed. He was assassinated in a hotel in the same city. He spoke his speech for almost 50 minutes at the Mason Temple, (Church of God in Christ Headquaters) in Memphis. The speech primarily concerns the Memphis Sanitation Strike. King himself calls for unity, economic actions, boycotts, and nonviolent protest, while challenging the United States of America to live up its ideals. At the end of the speech, he discusses the possibility of an ultimately death. As a memoir, here's his final words of his speech that night before his death the next day. I think in my book, his speeches have changed the country and the world for good. This one's for you, Dr. King.
