TRAITORS in Canada's Parliament? Not quite. Here's what the foreign interference report tells us

Good news, everyone: there’s no evidence to support the claim there might be traitors in Canada’s parliament. You can rest easy now. In fact, remember the bombshell report from a few months ago suggesting members of Parliament had been “wittingly” helping foreign interference efforts? Turns out it got some important stuff wrong. In fact, there’s a much greater concern than the wits of our MPs: the dastardly disinformation dealers. Those are just a few of the revelations from Commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue’s final report on foreign interference in Canada, released this morning. Hogue worked on this for 19 months, scanning tens of thousands of documents (most of them classified), speaking to more than 100 witnesses, and holding dozens of hearings. Then, this morning, dozens of journalists were locked in a room (seriously, we had to have a guide with us if we wanted to pee) where we poured over the 860-page report that represented the culmination of this work.
