* Ken Casey went on a profanity-laced tirade against greedy billionaires and election deniers during the punk band’s set at the Allentown Fairgrounds 2022 in Pennsylvania. The Celtic punkers are currently playing a series of full-on electric shows at state fairs before embarking on an acoustic outing in support of their upcoming album, This Machine Kills Fascists, featuring lyrics by folk legend Woody Guthrie. Video of the Allentown gig uploaded to Reddit and YouTube captures Casey in the middle of an impassioned onstage speech in which he’s speaking up for the middle class, with apparent references to former president Donald Trump and his supporters. “You’re being duped by the greatest swindler in history of the world,” screamed Casey. “You’re being duped by a bunch of grifters and billionaires who don’t give a shit about you and your family. They care about their tax breaks and the money they can put in their pocket.” He then issued a challenge to those who still deny that President Joe Biden rightfully won the 2020 presidential election. “If you consider yourself a patriot, and you’re spouting off that election-denying shit, I will fight your ass outside if you want to. Wake the fuck up!” He ended the tirade with, “We’re working class people. The people, the fucking rich, the billionaires, they don’t give a shit.” He then switched gears and calmly thanked the audience for their time before continuing the set.
