60+ yrs after the March on Washington, Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of social justice for all is still a work in progress. I like this interview. It shows a less idealistic, more determined MLK. "It is a cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps."

This year, with DEI programs being broadly rejected and the voting rights act almost irrelevant, I'm struck by how true Dr. King's words are about the white backlash. His disappointment with his white allies, liberals in the north who he called hypocrites, is still felt today.
