Trudeau speaks after European defence summit on Ukraine | LIVE

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to speak to the media on Sunday following a major European defence summit in which leaders hoped to set the conditions for a lasting peace in Ukraine. Trudeau joined numerous European leaders at the summit aimed at preventing further Russian aggression. He also had a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Trudeau’s comments come after Starmer announced earlier Sunday that the U.K. and France would work on a peace deal with Ukraine and present it U.S. President Donald Trump following Friday’s explosive meeting between Trump and Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
