Schoolhouse Rock - ''The Great American Melting Pot''

I remember watching this cartoon as a kid and then hearing many years later in school that America was not a "melting pot" after all but in fact a "salad bowl." The debate rages on. Still, it's a memorable tune and an earnest effort to teach children that the United States is a nation of immigrants.
