GOP escalates its war on women with abortion travel bans

Absent a federal abortion ban, Republicans are working to expand the reach of their states’ abortion bans. The latest effort involves Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton suing a New York doctor for prescribing abortion pills to a Texas resident. Additionally, a growing number of legislators in red states are seeking to enact abortion travel bans against women who travel out of state to obtain the procedure.
