Bringing Israeli soldiers to justice around the world, with Dyab Abou Jahjah

The ceasefire that took effect this month brought an end to Israel’s horrific massacres that claimed dozens and sometimes hundreds of lives of men, women and children in Gaza every day over the last 15 months. The official death toll of Israel’s genocide of 46,000 is widely considered a gross undercount, and already as people return to the ruins of their homes, they are finding the remains of loved ones whose fate had been unknown. The ceasefire agreement and the announcements of various governments involved in mediating it are silent about the question of accountability for Israeli crimes, whose scale and savagery is difficult to comprehend and may not be fully uncovered for years. One organization that does take justice for the victims of Israel’s genocide in Gaza seriously is The Hind Rajab Foundation. It uses offensive litigation to hold responsible those involved in atrocities of violence against Palestinians. We speak with co-founder Dyab Abou Jahjah, a Belgian-Lebanese political activist and writer, about the effort to pursue Israeli perpetrators of genocide and bring them to justice wherever they are.
