LA wildfire: Satellite images show Palisades Fire, fire fighting aircraft working to contain spread
A full-scale firefighting effort stretched into Saturday (January 11) in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, as the wildfire there expanded into an additional 1,000 acres overnight with residents warned of potential worsening weather conditions over the next 72 hours that could further stoke the blaze. "Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are predicted to continue through Wednesday," Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said at a news conference on Saturday morning.
