In a prime-time televised hearing, broadcast live on major US TV channels for two hours on Thursday night, the committee set out its case following a year-long investigation which included 1,000 interviews. It played 12 minutes of video footage, some of it filmed by British documentary maker Nick Quested, which had never been seen publicly before. The images showed the extent of the violence as members of the Proud Boys group made the initial breach of the police perimeter around the Capitol.
