#TeslaTakedown: The Strategy
You may have heard about the #TeslaTakedown protests, happening at Tesla stores every Saturday, and you may be wondering what these hope to accomplish. I don't speak for the protest movement, which doesn't have leaders, but I want to share why I think taking down Tesla is the best (and maybe even the only) way to affect real political change right now. To understand why we should be targeting Tesla, you have to understand who Elon Musk is and how his business empire actually works. I've been following him closely since 2015, and wrote a book about Tesla in 2019 (Ludicrous; The Unvarnished Story of Tesla Motors), and he is way more vulnerable than you think. In this video I explain the broad strokes of why Elon Musk is vulnerable, and how attacking Tesla's brand and business could take out the foundation of his wealth.
