Former civil servant and parliamentary candidate Melanie Schweizer criticised German media coverage of Israel's blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza. For the past nine days, Israel has cut off aid and now electricity into Gaza to force Hamas to accept new ceasefire terms replacing phase two with an extension of phase one. While most media coverage has reported the move as a negotiation strategy, Schweizer argued it should be seen as collective punishment, drawing parallels with Germany's own history in treatment of the Warsaw Ghetto. Schweizer says she was fired from Germany's civil service earlier this year for speaking out about Gaza. Support stories that matter.
