The mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin said that the air defense system shot down 73 drones in the Moscow region. The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyev, said that one person was killed and eight were injured as a result of the drone attacks. The governor said that the drones hit residential buildings and private houses, causing fires and damage to houses. As a result of the drone landing in the parking lot, dozens of cars were damaged, and several were set on fire. According to the information, as a result of the drone debris falling, the railway line at Domodedovo station was also damaged, causing a disruption in the movement of trains. The “Kovyor” plan was activated at all airports in the capital and flights were temporarily suspended.
