Explosive device placed on train, Idaho police say | LiveNOW from FOX

A man has been arrested in Payette, Idaho after police say he placed an improvised explosive device (IED) on a train car. On New Years Day, police said around 6PM, Payette police were called to the 600 block of North 8th Street for a suspicious man seen near a parked railroad car, attempting to light something on fire. When officers arrived, they said they found fresh footprints in the snow and tracked them to a train car where they found an undetonated improvised explosive device (IED). Police said they followed the footprints to a camp trailer parked near a home, where they said Brent Sharrai, 40, attempted to run. He surrendered to officers following a short chase. Sharrai was taken into custody on unrelated warrants and later booked into the Payette County jail on those warrants, as well as additional charges for possession of a destructive device (felony), possession of a controlled substance (felony), possession of paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and resisting and obstructing officers. Due to the dangers posed by the IED, the Bomb Squad was requested for assistance in rendering the device safe.
