Enterprise is generally remembered more for its potential than for what it delivered, but it speaks to something at the heart of Star Trek in a more direct way than any other iteration. When paired with the Trek novel “The Final Reflection” by John Ford, Enterprise sheds some light on the cultural state of both its own time and ours.
