I'm definitely late to the party on @techconnectify.bsky.social's recent video on algorithmic complacency, but I'd like to throw in my own perspective after watching the video: holy shit. I've been using yt all my life through it's algorithm. like, all my life. more as a thread bc I yap too much

This video put a lot of things into perspective for me. First it explains why BlueSky feels good. But it also puts into good and concise (for as concise as 35 minutes can be) of why I feel so against AI, algorithms, and the modern Internet. It is honestly worth everyone's time. youtu.be/QEJpZjg8GuA

I just finished watching the new video from @techconnectify.bsky.social: awesome video, but man, I'm sad now. I'll link it to friends who ask why I'm so skeptical about new """AI""" and tech in general.

this is a really excellent video, and i especially loved the bit where he describes how these platforms structurally encourage context collapse and conflict
Alec over at Technology Connections had a great video on the hazards of lazy media consumption, something we've been warned of since ancient times. Don't believe everything you see, and more choose what you WISH to see and make more of in the world.
For better or for worse, this is a 10/10 video that summarizes perfectly how I think/feel on this issue.
