As I matured in myself with exercise, I found that where I used to push myself and be very rigid and have these structured exercise programs, after a while, I felt like I was hungry for something more with variety and less rigidity. I found that I was able to listen to my body; instead of forcing myself to deadlift, bench press, lunge, or squat, I chose to just play. So, if you are feeling rigid in your movement, ask yourself, where can you play in the gym? Where can you allow your creativity to come in to use your movement as a medicine chest instead of something you’re being dictated to do.
