In the city of Yenakiyevo, in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region, a missile attack was carried out on an ammunition depot belonging to the occupiers. Ukrainian blogger and journalist Denis Kazansky announced the incident on his social media account and shared a video from the city. In the occupied Yenakiyevo, an ammunition depot belonging to the occupiers was hit by a HIMARS attack. In the video from the scene, secondary explosions can be seen and you can hear the ammunition shattering. The soldiers’ condition after the blow was heartbreaking. Many Russian soldiers lost their lives after the blow. The survivors were in great despair. Ukrainian soldiers reportedly used FPV drones to hit an ammunition depot and a Russian border crossing in the Kharkiv region. The fighting then shifted to the Kursk region. Here, Russian forces struggled to maintain the pace and intensity of their attacks, and turned to North Korean heavy equipment to reinforce their efforts. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces, using intercepted communications, launched successful precision strikes on key Russian bases, dealing a significant blow to reportedly deployed North Korean reinforcements and halting the momentum of the offensive. The Russian offensive on Nizhny Klin continued with high-intensity attacks despite repeated failures to make significant progress. Their primary objective was to advance along the main highway and secure control of the village. Capturing Nizhny Klin would provide Russian forces with tactically advantageous forested ground and cover for the buildup of troops and equipment aimed at collapsing the Kursk salient. The village’s elevated position also provided a strategic advantage, providing fire control over Ukrainian positions to the east. This would put the Ukrainian defenders of Sverdlikovo, located in a vulnerable low-lying river valley, at a significant tactical disadvantage. Realizing the strategic importance of Nizhny Klin, Russian generals have reduced their focus on offensive efforts elsewhere in the Kursk direction, focusing their assault forces on capturing the village at all costs. The command appears willing to inflict heavy losses through relentless "meat wave" attacks in pursuit of this goal. Fully aware of the value and tactical superiority of Nizhny Klin, Ukrainian forces have heavily mined the fields leading to the village in order to stop the advancing Russian forces. These fields, located in the lowlands, have forced Russian forces to cross open terrain and have allowed Ukrainian defenders to establish effective fire control over key Russian attack routes. Moreover, the Ukrainians still hold tactically advantageous positions in Nizhny Klin, making it easier to repel Russian attacks. Combat footage from the area shows a large Russian mechanized assault formation consisting of six T-72B3 tanks and BMD-2 armored vehicles carrying airborne assault units. The Russian command relied heavily on these armored vehicles, which eventually became death traps, to protect its troops from Ukrainian artillery and drones. Nearly all of the vehicles were destroyed by landmines, and secondary explosions from the onboard ammunition reduced the debris to rubble. Ukrainian drone operators then targeted the surviving Russian troops who were making a desperate attempt to retreat and were eliminated while escaping the carnage. The worsening shortage of Russian heavy equipment, combined with increasing losses in the latest wave of attacks, has forced the Russian command to rely on North Korean reinforcements in Kursk Oblast.
