Oklahoma lawmaker's "covenant marriage" bill would make it harder to get divorced
Oklahoma State Sen. Dusty Deevers, a Christian Nationalist, filed a bill to create a "covenant marriage” option for newlyweds. While the stated goal is to “strengthen the institution of marriage,” the actual consequences would be disastrous because anyone signing the contract could end up trapped in an unhappy relationship.
