"Born Free" won 2 Oscars for "Best Original Music Score" and "Best Original Song," music by John Barry; Lyrics by Don Black. "The Young Americans" chorus group joined Roger to sing the lyrics. Roger's "Born Free" reached #1 on Billboard's 'Adult Contemporary Chart' and #7 on their 'Hot 100' Chart.
