If my words are taken to heart, my advice to start the conversation on what to argue for, start vague. For example, what percentage does the movie that is claiming to be based on a true story, should be accurate? 70%? 85%? Once you get a vague number, then start getting into specifics and nit picks. Example, is there any precedent on armies using bracers? I know that’s a big annoyance, but if there is no evidence, and is completely made up, then create an argument on why this should change. Or maybe you can completely ignore it as, it’s only authentically pleasing to audiences that don’t know. Deep conversation on why movies that claim to be historical or based on a true story, needs to be as accurate as possible. Or, if you do it because it gives you views and money, feel free to do little than what you are doing, and let people like Picket Smith bastardize history.
