RFK Jr. has made millions of dollars spreading the falsehood that vaccines cause autism. He’s done this for 25 years, even though millions of data points have demonstrated there is no link. The claim was based on an outright lie by Andrew Wakefield - and yet - even in spite of that, RFK Jr. and his organization Children’s Health Defense have spread disinformation for personal gain. He scares parents out of life-saving interventions for millions of dollars - and there are receipts. In 2023 - his base salary alone was $20,000 A WEEK. There is NO credible data that a link between vaccines and autism exists. But medical conspiracists like he and Joe Rogan erode trust in science and cause harm to our society. For money. And greed. Declining vaccine rates because of disinformation like this is causing ENTIRELY preventable disease outbreaks. Autism existed well before the MMR vaccine was approved in the 1970s. We just didn’t have the diagnostic criteria and tools to recognize it. It doesn’t matter how many people repeat the lie, it still doesn’t make it true.
