Mexico and Canada brace for fresh 25% tariffs which US Trump confirms Tuesday start

Donald Trump said Monday that there was no chance for Mexico or Canada to prevent 25 per cent tariffs from taking effect on March 4. Mexico's president earlier said that Mexico has back-up plans, underlining unity. Canadian PM Trudeau reacted to the possible tariff a day before in London. His words at the Ukraine summit was echoed in Ottawa. An additional 10% tariff on Chinese imports is also expected to come into force. US stock markets sank in response to Trump’s tariff measures.
