Lebanese Red Lentil Soup | Hadias Lebanese Cuisine

This Lebanese "Red Lentil Soup" is an old family treasure and a staple at our house. Over years I have tested loads of red lentil soups but this remained our favorite. The recipe could not be easier, sauté onions, vegetables (carrot and potato), cumin powder and lentils in olive oil, cover with water and simmer over low heat for about 25-30 minutes. Blend and finish the soup by adding a drizzle of olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice to balance the flavor profile.
