The Only Way To End The War

There has been considerable discussion about the need to end the war since it began, yet very few realistic solutions have emerged. It's crucial to remember, as Anders Puck Nielsen pointed out in his latest video (https://youtu.be/lNZ56C-f4a8?si=vkkNUK7sG8WIF-PW), that neither side is currently prepared to make significant enough concessions for the war to come to an end, and negotiations may take a long time. Putin has no motivation to end the war because he hasn't achieved his objectives, his country's economy is reliant on the war, and most importantly, he believes that the situation on the front will improve for russia in the future. He is truly convinced he can outlast the West. The only way to expedite the end of the war is to alter his perception of the future. To achieve this, Ukraine's allies must maintain military aid during negotiations, threaten russia with increased aid and tougher sanctions if it does not halt hostilities, and, most importantly, provide long-term commitments of military support. Ukraine will require these commitments regardless of the situation, as they are the only way to convey to Putin that he cannot outlast the West in a way he comprehends. Long-term commitments of military aid that extend beyond the current conflict and are not contingent on negotiations are crucial, as they represent the best—and likely the only—way to shift Putin's perception of the future of this war. In summary, the US, Europe, and other allies of Ukraine must persist in providing military aid, impose new sanctions on russia, and, most importantly, establish long-term commitments of military support that are independent of negotiations or the current state of the war. Ukraine will require this assistance even after peace is eventually achieved. Such support will empower Ukraine and enhance the chances of attaining peace in the future.
