We've saved the most punchy route through the second act of the game until last and my, is it something. The fists route replaces many of the puzles with fisticuffs against various adversaries, most of whom are soldiers working under Kerner. The idea of it is relatively sound, a system where you block incoming attacks while trying to sneak yours past your opponent's guard, but the result is a mess. Most fights quickly devolve into randomly swinging in the hopes you'll connect, as reading your opponent so you can block their strikes is very difficult. The game gives you a way to entirely bypass almost all the fights through use of a sucker punch button, but using that prevents you from earning IQ points for the combat. I say almost all because there's two that you can't win by using it, but the game gives you plenty of warning that they're a different calibre of foe. This is also going to be the route where I show off the most game overs on account of the sheer number of fights you engage in. I'll be endeavouring to show off as many of them as I can.
