New York Attorney General Letitia James made it clear this week that she is NOT going to let Donald Trump off the hook for the massive $454 million fraud verdict that she secured against him and his company. And she’s right to not let it go. This case has NOTHING to do with anything that could be covered by presidential immunity, and unlike the criminal trials, there is no need to wait to enact the punishment four years into the future. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.  Link – https://abcnews.go.com/US/new-york-ag-continue-pursue-454-million-civil/story?id=116639628 Subscribe to stay connected to our stories: https://www.youtube.com/theringoffire Support us by becoming a member on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYWIEbibRcZav6xMLo9qWWw/join Or Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheRingofFire Buy Ring of Fire merch: https://www.buyrof.com/ Find us on social media! Lawyers for New York Attorney General Letitia James office this week made it crystal clear that just because Donald Trump is going to be sworn in as the next president of the United States next month, that has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the $454 million verdict that they secured against him, his children, and his company. Donald Trump, of course, is still in the process of appealing this ruling. We are still, as of this moment, waiting for the appeals court to make their decision, which could be any second from now until the end of time, really. So, you know, we're all waiting on pins and needles to make sure they're gonna uphold it. But I will point out that the, uh, lawyer that Donald Trump has, John Sauer, his a nominee is his nominee for Solicitor General. So you may want to get on that decision pretty quickly. Appellate court, otherwise, Trump's lawyer is not gonna be his lawyer anymore and he'll instead be the next solicitor general because Trump rewards anyone that ever does anything mildly helpful to him, which is why so many people are kissing his butt right now. But that's something I've talked to nauseum about. Not gonna go into it right here. The point is, Leticia James office is correct. There is no reason whatsoever to toss out this verdict. This $454 million verdict against Donald Trump, which would end up being almost 500 million due to the interest and all of that on it, um, has no bearing on him becoming president, right? This is not like the criminal trials. We're not looking at putting him in jail. We're not looking at giving him a criminal sentence or making him sit through months and months of a trial. This one's done. The verdict is in. He's not going to jail. He has to write a check. Becoming president of the United States as the uh, attorney General's office points out, does not impede that. Like we are not impeding his job. His job's not impeding the case. Have him write the check and let's move on. Let's be done. There is no reason to throw this verdict out. There is no reason for it to disappear. We caught him, we prosecuted him. We got the judgment. Let's make it happen. But we are not going to back down is the message that they are sending. And it's a hell of a strong message. It's a message I think the country needs right now, that we are still going to hold people accountable when they do the wrong thing. Because right now we're seeing a lot of people doing the wrong things that are not being held accountable. Letitia James is not backing down. She's going to remain a fighter. She is going to get what the state of New York is owed based on the judgment that the judge handed down.
