Russian President Vladimr Putin's joint military cooperation with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is not going well at the moment. Tens of thousands of North Korean troops are facing major problems on the front lines in Kursk, Belgorod and northeastern Ukraine. The North Koreans may have come to the Russian war camps with high hopes. But the situation they are in now makes them desperate. The Russian army offered the North Korean soldier good nutrition, the opportunity to hone his combat skills and to learn about the outside world. Among the North Koreans were those who had been soldiers for more than 10 years. Although they came to the Russian war camps on Kim Jong's strict orders, they were also looking for an opportunity to show their long-honed skills. Likewise, being a soldier in North Korea was hell. The biggest hardship for the soldiers was hunger and lack of contact with their families. The situation in Russia didn't really look and feel like that. But it did not take long for North Korean soldiers to be exposed to the outside world and realize that they would serve as “cannon fodder”. While this created many problems, it was only when North Korean soldiers were again tested by hunger in Russian war camps that they were forced to say enough was enough. On the front lines, North Korean soldiers began to rebel against the lack of basic human needs. Poor nutrition, sleeping on makeshift beds in camps, and the harsh approach of Russian commanders are causing North Korean soldiers to meet the real face of war. Exposed to such harsh conditions, Pyongyang's troops are considering options such as deserting from the battlefield or surrendering to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And what is Russia doing about it? How will the overall course of the war change if Putin loses the North Korean troops that Kim Jong provided him? Will Kim Jong be able to maintain his partnership with Putin when desertions and mutinies break out among North Korean soldiers?
How bad are they feeding them if they're complaining that there's not enough food? You would think they would encounter more food outside their country.
