Franklin Roosevelt's First Inaugural Address (1933)

On March 4, which was inauguration day until 1937, it will be the 90th anniversary of FDR's first inauguration ceremony. Elected to the executive office, President Roosevelt faced a nation in the midst of the Great Depression. He stood in front of the inauguration crowd and declared "the only thing to fear is fear itself," inspiring a reeling citizenry. Watch this segment of his address where he laid out his policy goals.
