But there is still one area of polling that I do trust and I do like to look at. And that of course is presidential approval ratings, because those really do kind of act as the barometer for how the public is feeling here. And according to the polling data available right now, approval ratings, that is Donald Trump is officially the least popular person to ever be sworn in as the new president of the United States in over 80 years. You have to go back more than 80 years to find anybody less popular than Donald Trump in this first week of his presidency. And I don't even think you can do that because they actually didn't poll these kinds of things back then. So there is a very good chance that Donald Trump is effectively the least popular newly elected president in the history of this country. His approval rating right now, depending on which poll you're looking at, is, uh, hovering right around, you know, 46 to 47%. The highest approval rating that he has right now is with Rassmuson polling, which of course is a very right wing pollster that always ends up skewing more towards Republicans. They have his approval rating at 52%, but even that in Rasmussen's own polling is a four point drop from where he was just a week ago. So even Rasmussen, that of course, is skewed to the right, shows a massive drop in the last seven days, 56 to 52. All of the other polls, of course, as I mentioned, have him below 50. Here's another fun fact about this. The previous record, for least popular newly elected president in the last 80 years, actually was held by Donald Trump himself, in 2017. So the only person less popular than Donald Trump in the last 80 years was actually Donald Trump himself. So he beat his own record as the least popular person to ever get elected. But I'm not just here to make fun of him for, you know, screwing everything up, which he has for being hugely unpopular, which he is. What I'm here to make fun of are the voters, right. I mean, I hate to be an about it, but at the same time, y'all voted for him. I mean, you knew he was gonna do all these horrible things. Honestly, so far, nothing that we have seen has been a surprise. They're either things that Donald Trump explicitly said he was gonna do, or they were readily available in Project 2025, which y'all should have paid attention to. Nothing that Trump has done has fallen Outside those two categories. It's either spelled out in project 2025, like the funding freezes, or he already told us he was gonna do it before the election. And then of course he comes into office, he does all these horrible things in less than two weeks, and the public immediately turns on him. So to that, I say, why this was all available to you prior to you voting for him. So why are you shocked? Did you not think he was gonna do these things? Did you think it was all a total bluff and he was gonna come into office and actually lower the prices of your groceries? Maybe you did May. Maybe you're not tuned into politics and you weren't paying attention to any of it. You know, I understand a lot of people have busy lives. I'm not holding that against you, but I do think it's weird that y'all picked him and now you're like, yeah, I also hate him now. So that makes no sense to me. Maybe do your homework next time before casting a ballot.
