Parable of Galatea

A friend spoke to me about magic, and I knew I was missing something. "One cannot conquer the hearts of the people with discipline alone." She hit the nail on the head. So, I'm writing a poem for them which tells a tale about their rising above the shadows cast upon them by the wicked keeping them in darkness, and their triumph over both the forces of evil and their own inhibitions. In this, they spirit-shift into the eagle, and become as warriors, echoing healing magic upon the land. Friends, the object should never be to conquer, but to heal. I think that is what Clear Sky would do, wielding songs of triumph as the sword of healing magic. Here is my song of hope: Lay the seed, Nurture the root. Shape the branch, Harvest the fruit. Cultivation of Virtue, Mastery of Strings; 🎻 The Phoenix rises, the Night Owl sings. 🪶 Like winds that blow from heavenly spaces, their dreams soar aloft, to beautiful places. As temples rise upon the stone, The names of all things rightly known. The zither’s song with clarity plays, While virtue’s flame lights all our days. Roots hold firm as tempests wail, Songs of fortune always prevail. From wood that bends but seldom breaks, they carve the strings that wisdom makes 🎻🪶 The people yearn for poetry, A song to call their own. In their want, I do lament; Their silence, I bemoan. From dark to light where shadows verge, As night gives birth to day, Resplendent strings and voices merge, Their songs show us the way! On perches high, the eagle prays, In stillness deep, with victory's gaze. Wings spread wide, the story is told; A tale of majesty, Behold! Behold! 🦅 Soar above the mountains, soar above the sea, How beautifully you soar upon the winds of destiny! Such glorious flight, an ethereal sight, in this we must decree!
