The start of the new era of power in the United States of America with Donald Trump has affected the Russian Federation the most. Immediately after Donald Trump was sworn in to take office, Russian President Vladimir Putin picked up the telephone and met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Few details were shared about the scope of the meeting, but it is speculated what the two discussed. Mister Putin reportedly told Mister Xi about his concerns about the new Trump administration. Mister Xi, for his part, has been as neutral as he can be lately. This is because the Russian Federation last saw the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as an ally during its invasion of Ukraine, cooperated militarily with the Pyongyang regime and threatened the West with nuclear weapons again. Mister Xi does not want to be influenced by Putin’s aggressive policies. That is why the Beijing regime does not share the same views as Mister Putin. So with Donald Trump coming to power, Vladimir Putin has received bad news from both the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China at the same time. The only actor standing behind Mister Putin, Kim Jong Un, has no chance to change the process. If Mister Kim had that power, the Russian Federation would have won the Ukraine war. Mister Xi probably anticipated this and predicted what Donald Trump’s strategic attitude towards Mister Putin would be. Since Donald Trump has also adopted very harsh sanctions against the People’s Republic of China, Mister Xi may not want to be the focus of the United States of America leader’s attention. Mister Xi’s stance makes all the arrows suddenly turn towards Vladimir Putin. And this hardens Donald Trump’s approach towards Putin.
