A Republican-led book ban backfired after the Canyon Independent School District in Texas decided to remove the Bible from its shelves on account of it being too “sexually explicit.” GOP Rep. Jared Patterson, who sponsored the book ban, then went into damage control mode to get the Bible back on the shelves.
