1945/1948 King Cole Trio - Don’t Blame Me

Recorded in 1945, this Cole treatment of the Depression Era ballad was eventually released by Capitol in 1948 during the AFM musicians’ strike. Per label reference, the song had been featured in the (1948) MGM musical film “Big City,” sung by Betty Garrett and George Murphy, with Margaret O’Brien and Robert Preston in the starring roles.
