How and Why to Use Pine Pellets as Cat Litter

This video is for Carol, showing her how to use pine pellets. I've been meaning to make it for a long time. Several years ago I was struggling to stay in rescue because of all the costs. Finding an alternative to cat litter really helped me. It saved me a lot of money, allowed me to keep rescuing, socializing and homing cats, and taught me a lot. I'm so glad I switched and I encourage others to at least try it. There are other ways to use pine pellets too. Some people make their own sifting baskets. Others buy them. This is just what works for me. To switch your cats, start adding wood pellets to their regular litter. Slowly, over time, add more and more. When you make the complete switch, add some water to the pellets to make them turn to saw dust, then add some pellets to that. Work up to using just the pellets (unless you prefer the saw dust version, which is the way many farmers use it for their livestock). I hope this helps you, your pocketbook, and most of all your kitties. Hugs to you!
