President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine ready to work on peace deal | BBC News

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed regret over his angry exchange with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, calling it "regrettable". In a statement on X, Zelensky said: "Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is time to make things right.” He added that Ukraine is "ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership" to negotiate a peace deal and is ready to sign a proposed minerals deal with the US. It comes after the US announced on Tuesday that it would pause all military aid to Ukraine.
