Donald Trump has made some lofty campaign promises that of course, and, you know, a month and a half from now, a little under a month and a half, he's gonna have to start delivering on, right? The American people are a very impatient people. And when Donald Trump told them repeatedly during the campaign that I'm gonna deport 20 million people, I'm gonna pardon the Capitol rioters, I am going to lower the cost that you're paying at the grocery stores. The public is probably only gonna give him a few months, and if he doesn't immediately deliver, they will in fact turn against him. That's how they do, right? But here's the problem. Even if Donald Trump comes in and manages to fix things right away with his tariffs, maybe it does lower your prices for a few days, maybe a couple weeks, it won't last. I mean, it won't happen at all. By the way, him putting tariffs on other countries, uh, selling goods here is not going to lower your prices at all. It is going to raise them. Every single economist, including those on the right, have admitted that even Fox News has admitted that. But it's all on him now. And that's the thing that really gets me, because recently I have received more hate than ever through phone calls, directly to me and my wife, by the way, in emails and in comments on videos on my Instagram. Um, I haven't been on Twitter in over two weeks now, which is phenomenal. But I get the comments on Facebook. All these conservatives, these MAGA lunatics, mocking, celebrating, laughing. One of them that I just saw, uh, said, the left is coming unglued. Let me let you in on a little secret here. You are going to be the ones that get screwed over the hardest, and I have no sympathy for that. When Donald Trump's tariffs are put in place, everybody from the top income earners all the way to those at the bottom, they will all feel the effects. The question becomes, do you have the resources to weather the storm before we elect another Democrat to come in and fix the mess? I do these people with their mocking comments and the phone calls the hate that they're directing at us. Y'all don't, and I'm not saying that to be an. I'm saying that because that is reality. I'm not saying I look forward to paying higher prices. I'm not saying it won't sting a little bit, but I am certainly in a much better financial position now than I was the first time Donald Trump was president. So, while I am worried about the tariffs, it's not the number one cause of concern for me. The problem y'all Have right now, you gloats, you soar winners, is that Donald Trump's ego during this campaign was writing checks that his policies cannot cash. He was telling you that he is going to lower the prices. He said it during the meet the press interview. All the prices are gonna come down, gasoline, eggs, milk, bread, whatever it is you buy, all your prices will come down. Now, that's a lofty promise, even for somebody that wasn't going to put tariffs in place, okay, that that is almost impossible for any politician of any party to deliver on. But he sold it to you and he sold it to those moderate on the fence voters who bought into it, they'll be the first to turn. And just like the tax cut package from 2017, when you had all these Republican voters who were all in favor of it at the time, they totally believed that this time trickle down would work even though it didn't work last time or the time before, or the time before that, or the time before that, or the time before that.
