1967 HITS ARCHIVE: Music To Watch Girls By - Bob Crewe Generation (mono 45)

Though producer Bob Crewe’s name is most prominent on the label (well, it was his own record company after all), credit is due to the arranging and conducting talent of the veteran Hutch Davie and to composer Sid Ramin (misspelled on the label) who had created the original Diet Pepsi commercial jingle on which this was based. Later in the spring a vocal version by Andy Williams reached #34 on the Hot 100: https://youtu.be/xen5aU5a_MY Pop Chart Peaks: Cash Box & Record World 9, Billboard 15 - Easy Listening Peak: 2 45 single issued on DynoVoice 229 - Music To Watch Girls By (Ramin) by The Bob Crewe Generation, arranged & conducted by Hutch Davie . THE 1967 HITS ARCHIVE - Here in one place, a comprehensive collection of ‘pop’ best-sellers and songs which made an impact that were either released or enjoyed a major chunk of their popularity within the calendar year 1967 (some were recorded in 1966)
