In this extended version of the documentary 'A Wonderland of Startdust' join Gerry Anderson, Sylvia Anderson and members of the AP Films crew as they discuss the development, production, and release of cult Supermarionation favourite Fireball XL5. Taking their puppet productions to the starts, this series proved a success in America as well as the UK and was a launching pad for further hits like Stingray, Thunderbirds, and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. Fireball XL5 is a children's science-fiction puppet television series that first ran on ITV in 1962 and 1963. It charted the missions of the rocketship Fireball XL5 of the World Space Patrol as it policed the cosmos in the year 2062. Commanded by Colonel Steve Zodiac, the ship's crew defended Earth from alien threats while encountering a wide variety of strange new civilisations.
