Vance got some stern advice Tuesday from a Washington, D.C., bishop during the traditional, post-inauguration national prayer service. The Washington National Cathedral hosts the event, an interfaith service, on the morning after every inauguration dating back to 1933 as a sign of unity. Episcopal Washington Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde delivered a sermon that urged Trump to find humility and show “mercy” on those in the country “scared” by the power he now wields as the 47th president.
