The gala, which is the most-watched programme in mainland China, was seen by more than 1 billion viewers. The bipedal robots, created by the Chinese robotics company Unitree, were supported by cloud computing infrastructure created by Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group Holdings, which owns the South China Morning Post.
