Freed Palestinian prisoner reunites with kids after 11 months, awaits husband's release to be whole

Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees have been freed during the first phase of the ceasefire. Asma Shatat, one of those released, was arrested by Israeli forces during Ramadan 2024. She was separated from her children and spent 11 months in Damon prison under harsh conditions, unaware of her children's safety. After learning they were alive, her hope kept her strong. Upon release, she joyfully reunited with her children but expressed that the family would not be complete until her husband is freed. She endured over a year of separation and hardship.
