Trump signs order to give TikTok 75-day grace period from US ban

"TikTok is worthless, worthless, if I don't approve it, it has to close," said US President Donald Trump, while signing an order on Monday (Jan 20) to delay the enforcement of the TikTok ban by 75 days. Mr Trump estimated that TikTok could be worth US$1 trillion and told reporters why he changed his mind on wanting to block it. The 75-day delay is intended to give the new Trump administration time to "pursue a resolution that protects national security while saving a platform used by 170 million Americans", according to the order.
