29/JAN/2025 PSA Airlines performing flight from Wichita to Washington National was on short final circling for runway 33 when the aircraft collided with a Military Army Sikorsky UH-60 and both aircraft fell into the Potomac River. Local Police reported no survivors. After confirmation on another frequency, PAT25 is heard during the following communication with Tower. Time 01:30 into the video. DCA TWR: PAT25, traffic just south of the Woodrow Bridge, a CRJ, it's 1200 feet setting up for runway 33. PAT25: PAT25 has the traffic in sight, request visual separation. AA5342 (CRJ700) was in a descending left hand turn to RWY 33 at DCA. PAT 2-5 (UH-60L) was transiting south along the Potomac at 300 feet. To the south of 5342 was AAL3130, also inbound to DCA slowing to final for RWY1. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiOy...

that asshole has been talking again I see, anyway, ATC did their very difficult job while knowing a crash just happened and so did all the other pilots, something no one in that administration has ever done in their life
What does surprise me is despite the ATC overstaffing it does look like it was more related to the helicopter VFR procedures. DCA also just looks like a mess too. Restricted airspace all around the Potomac and the 3 angled intersecting runways. youtu.be/CiOybe-NJHk?...
