Chinese online troll farm posing as 'everyday Americans:' Report

Social media accounts across multiple platforms are posing as "everyday Americans" while a new report says they're linked to China. Online tracking firm Graphika said ittraced multiple accounts to a group dubbed “Spamouflauge," a Chinese disinformation group targeting Americans on social media. The name comes from the seemingly random posts with social issues and government misinformation sprinkled in. In one instance, a user posing as "Harlan" changed his age and location multiple times while posing as an American. The account was pro-Donald Trump and while most of the postings didn't gain much traction, some videos posted to TikTok had hundreds of thousands or even more than one million views.
